His strong statements regarding society and crime following the city’s recent crime wave have been garnering some attention lately, leading many to speculate that Judge Green is seeking public support for an eventual entry into politics.
However, others critique Judge Green, claiming his “unfair” sentencing imposes a high financial burden on the already struggling New York penitentiaries. Some also argue that Green is exploiting the situation for personal gain. It is true, however, that voters are placing a higher importance on crime and crime prevention, naming them among their top three reasons 70% of the time when choosing a political candidate.
Judge Green’s sentences have stirred up a lot of controversy lately, as tensions escalate. In a video circulating online, what appears to be the judge is seen being attacked by an aggressive assailant. The identity of the perpetrator is currently unknown.
